Radical Set For Action-Packed Season
25th November 2009
Radical Sportscars can today announce bigger and better calendars for the 2010 Shell Racing Solutions Radical European Masters, Radical UK Cup and Quaife Radical Clubman’s Cup, alongside the launch of Radical’s new on-demand web TV channel, Radical TV.
Shell Racing Solutions have joined the Radical European Masters as title sponsor, and will be working closely with Radical in supplying the latest racing fuels and lubricants. Series competitors will receive high-quality, championship-specific merchandise as part of the arrangement. Primary technical partner Intrax will also attend all European Masters rounds providing technical support, shock absorber dyno services and suspension setup assistance to all competitors.
Five hours of track time are available to competitors at the Radical-organised events at the Nürburgring, Zandvoort and Dijon. The Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone and Abu Dhabi rounds support the Le Mans Series, with a highly-subsidised airfreight package in place for the trip to the Middle East.
The Quaife Radical Clubman’s Cup continues the popular Clubman’s Cup sprint format but with lots more racing. The 2010 season grows from 12 to 18 races, offering unbeatable value-for-money racing. With longstanding technical partner Quaife actively involved in providing high-quality series merchandise, and Powertec supplying trackside technical support and specialist awards, 2010 is set to be a vintage year.
Radical is currently in advanced talks with a prospective title sponsor to support the Radical UK Cup, with an announcement expected shortly, while Sunoco have been confirmed as a major series partner and will contribute to the official Cup merchandise. Sunoco will continue to offer the exciting Rolex 24 At Daytona Award, the chance to drive in the Daytona 24 Hours. The prize was won by SR8 driver Derek Johnston this year, and is worth over £100,000. The Radical UK Cup also offers drivers the chance to compete at two of Europe’s most challenging circuits in 2010, with overseas rounds at Spa and the Nürburgring.
Details of 2010's championships were announced in Autosport this week; to view the advert click here.
Highlights from this year’s racing can be viewed on Radical TV, Radical’s new, improved web TV player. Alongside coverage of selected rounds of the 2009 Radical European Masters, Radical UK Cup and Radical Clubman’s Cup, Radical TV also features videos on the Radical range, events and news from the season, and in-car footage from Radical’s awesome 6m48s Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record.
