Radical Head For The 'Ring

Radical’s bid for the Nürburgring Nordschleife production car lap record is off to a great start, with clear skies and light airs on the day of the attempt.
Setting off from the firm’s Peterborough factory, driver Michael Vergers and EVO Magazine’s Roger Green piloted the SR8LM down to Dover, easing on to the ferry without drama. At every stop, the car drew crowds and admiring glances from all nationalities.
The team arrived at the ‘Ring at 20:00hrs yesterday evening, with the sun setting over the Eifel Mountain’s majestic skyline.
This morning, Vergers and Green climbed into the hills for a range of dramatic photo shots. The car is currently being prepared for this evening’s record attempt, commencing at 17:00hrs. More news to follow…
