SR3 Laps faster than F1 cars in Algarve

The Radical Nevada Cup visited the Parkalgar circuit in the Algarve at the weekend (January 16th 2009).

On the Friday the Radicals shared the circuit with the World Touring Cars while F1 teams set up ready for a test on the Monday.

Prolific Radical Racer, Nigel Greensall, raved about the circuit and the speed of the Radicals, he enthused “On Friday we tested with the World Touring Car Teams and whilst giving passenger rides in a Radical SR3 1300 Supersport we overtook Alain Menu in his Cheverolet and the BMW’s of Andy Priaulx and Alex Zinardi.  My best time in the damp with two up was 1:50.3.  On the Monday that same time would have put us 5th on the grid beating the Toyota’s best time of 1:50.9.  OK it was wet on the Monday but hey, we really showed Max Moseley the way to cut F1 costs.”
 
The latest 2009 spec 1500 SR3 Supersport hot from the Autosport International Stand was also at Parkalgar being tested by local sportscar magazine Auto Focus and top German mag  Auto Bild.
